I've wanted to write some SSO Fanfiction for a while but couldn't figure out what to write about. Then inspiration struck me and I decided to write a story from the point of view of my SSO Character, Gabrielle Greenleaf, as if she had a journal she was writing in while she was adventuring. I've decided that instead of actual dates, I'll just write it "Day 1" and so on and so forth. That way the story won't be tied to a particular period in time. So without further ado, here is my story:
The Diaryof
Gabrielle Greenleaf
Day 1: Arrival
It's so exciting! I'm on a plane, on my way to Jorvik City! I've decided to document all my new adventures in a diary so that I can look back fondly on them and even share them with my children and grandchildren (and maybe even great-grandchildren, if I'm lucky!). The plane I'm in isn't very big. I think it can hold a grand total of 18 passengers, and the two pilots, but that's okay. I'm way to excited to care about it's size. When I land in Jorvik City, I'm supposed to take a bus to a town called Fort Pinta, and then walk the rest of the way to my final detestation. I hope where I'm going isn't too far of a walk from the bus stop. Oh, I guess I should back up a bit and explain why I'm on this plane in the first place.
You see, back in Appleton, where I'm from, I applied to work at a stables via a summer exchange program. Basically, you fill out forms, send in the application fees, and they find an awesome stable for you to work in. The stable I'm going to is called Moorland Stables. I've already talked to the owner, Thomas Moorland, on the phone and he is super nice. He's even promised that if I do enough work around the place, I can ride one of their horses in my free time! How cool is that? I'm a little nervous about riding a horse, to be honest. I'm not a very experienced rider. The only experience I have is riding that pony that came to my 5th birthday party.
I've read a little about Jorvik, where Jorvik City and Moorland Stables are located. It's an Island which has quite the interesting legacy behind it. Supposedly they have mysterious riders called Soul Riders which protect the island from a dark and malevolent creature or force or something. At least, that's about all the information I could find on it said. There isn't much to go by in my local library. In fact, I looked online and didn't find much else. It's all very mysterious and exciting. Maybe I'll discover some of the island's secrets when I go exploring.
Oh! The plane is getting ready to land now. I should pack this journal up along with my other things and be ready to get off when it lands. Bye!
