So I FINALLY got my hands on each of the old Star Stable games.
**This may contain spoilers, so if you haven't played them yet, and want it all to be a surprise, please stop reading!!**
I'm super excited to try them all, and I'm starting off with Autumn riders.
I haven't played too much of it yet, but so far its pretty good and I'm enjoying it. The first thing you notice is how similar It is to SSO. The music is the same, the sounds are the same, area names are the same, character names are the same, graphics are very similar. So far I've been to Jorvik Stables (you start the game there) Hillcrest, and I'm making my way to Scarecrow hill, yes to find the golden apple
I also found a young gentleman, who was either not named, or I just cant remember, and I had to find his dog.. And guess who it was!!?? Techno! No way! I was so surprised.. I really like how similar the game is, its like already having a good idea and understanding of how it all works!
You can also purchase a new horse for the in game allowance YAY! No more buying star coins hahah
You can care for your horse anywhere too, that's handy!
There are a few things I don't like, for example: The map, some of the guiding orange dots are so miniscule and I really have to look hard to find them.
Caring for your horse is more demanding, I find myself having to prepare everything before I go on a big ride, I'm going to need food and water because they deplete far too quickly for my liking. The horses also run slower, so the distances feel huge. Especially without a travel car. They can get slightly boring.
I also do not like how fast the days go by, you can of course stay the night for free, but it feels like 10-15 minutes of day light before it gets dark and impossible to see. So you have to make your way back to a camp so you can stay the night..
Like I said, I haven't played too much, so theres probably more pro's and con's to come. But overall, I'm liking it. If SSO was 10/10, id SO FAR (very early in) rate Autumn Riders at 7/10.

I'm not quite sure about the downloads from that old games finder -website, so if anyone has downloaded them from there I'd appreciate any experiences!
