In the beginning, you are only "loaning" your Jorvik Warmblood from Moorland Stables. Once you save Moorland from GED, Thomas Moorland offers you to buy the horse for 500 Jorvik Shillings, thus it's the only horse that you own the deed for. Which makes it pretty special.
Our precious Warmblood deserves its new AND unique look. It no longer looks like all the other horses, like the Danish warmblood, English thoroughbred old model e.c.t. Hannah Oakheart you said they look like all the other horses in the game but it has its own special model, coats, and gaits created? And as I stated earlier the starter horse prior to the update had countless duplicates with different coats and breed names. I'd put pictures in but I think you get the gist.
I respect both your opinions but I just don't agree when you state that they look the same as other horses and that it doesn't have the same sentiment as when you first saw it. Even though my soul horse Star got a new coat he's all the more dear to my heart because I make it so. He's still the same chunky boi with the big chin that I got 6 years ago
I get where you’re coming from, I do. But most of the breeds that used the same “starter” model have either been updated, shoved off to the horse market or both. You don’t tend to see many of them anymore and haven’t for quite some time.. I’ve owned my old model paint for about 5months now and so far haven’t seen another person on the game riding it as well.. However, personally I’ve found way more Hanoverians, Lipi and Trake being ridden around and in my opinion they look very similar. When playing the game I could tell from quite a way off if somebody was riding a starter model. Now I have to get pretty close. And I guess that’s what I liked about the old model. It was different. It was unique. I didn’t have to squint and pull up the other players info screen to figure out if it was a starter or not.
They stood out among the new looks and paid respect to where SSO startered without being as out of place as some of the “stiffer” breeds like the old fjords and tinkers because of their updated gaits. I personally don’t feel like they needed an appearance update. I feel the last one we had was enough. It made them look new enough without losing their charm. I would have liked to have seen their gaits altered a bit to be more fluid but I liked the overal shape of the model. But that’s just me and what I like. I’m glad most people like the new update. But for me unfortunately it’s just another nail in the coffin for SSO I guess.
Okay so to sum it up, I love the new models but I prefer the original art style. More unique. I disliked the old starter horses because they weren't similar to the other Soul Horses therefore I would not go back.
