Ok, I posted this about two other times but it's of interest. We all want north link to open up. Well...me, exploring Dino Valley (around x299, y 37~) came acrosss what seems like a would be path, to the other side. I posted at some point in this thread of the area below the construction zone near the racetrack when we were discussing locations that were closed.
Well, I took that picture and there seems to be no set path, although the terrain is pretty updated. Now, I'm on the far east side in Dino and there is a pretty distinct 'path' that would lead us into a new area seemingly--just a guess. The path has 'road' texture- the same as any road in Dino. I drew a possible way onto the path which seems to be a small area perhaps in between the two 'new' boulders.Looking onto the other side reveals sort of bare land, old trees. It does have the soundfile for the birds you hear walking across silverglade, so it has generic audio.
I'm going to see if it's an already existing pathway we can get to as there's a road that follows closely to it that we can run on. I'll edit this post if I can find a way.
EDIT: So the 'frozen road' which runs right next to the area I'm seeing goes into Nic's camp, so this little area has a different road all together (but still very close to Nic's camp). It is blocked off by boulders and ice, but if you face north west of the camp, you can see a bit of the 'new/updated' boulder above the snow capped old boulders. hm. For me now it's a question of what path is going to take us to North Link (if that area is still considered North Link). The construction zone area is more updated but with no current definitive path except for the 'cave' in which a bulldozer is blocking (much like how mistfall was). We also have a map that shows us a path through that way. However, the path in Dino is most definitely a road of some sort from its texture. Both are probably just a case of 'two roads to the same area' like how Epona has different ways to get to it. Still interesting.
EDIT 2: Edit: I got a little bit of a closer look, blocked by an invisible wall, it is definitely a road. Wouldn't be surprised if we could access it from the camp in the future.
Got a picture from the other side of the road as well.
Anyway, the path where that way leads to is the area beyond Icengate, which they did work on and changed a couple of textures, however they aren't working as hard on it as they're working on Cape Point.
I have a couple pics from the Ashland mountain (that mountain where you can see Ashland without doing any bugs, just climbing. One of my faves because you don't need to do any sort of bugs, just climbing so you're not doing anything wrong )
I also had no fog on, because that's the only way you can see Ashland. I won't show any pics of Ashland though, just that area.
Here, hopefully you can see it:
I know it's from far away, but I find it interesting to see it like that.
