I like the idea of weather change and a day/night switch. I played a game called Wolf Quest where you can change the time (dawn, midday, dusk, and midnight), they also had weather changes such as rain/storm. I personally would love to see and run around in a thunder storm on Star Stable! It'll set a dramatic mood! I would program the storms to be 5-15 minutes long, storms too short are a little weird and if you're recording for a video and actually want the storm, if it lasts a minute that's not a lot to work with lol and if you don't want storms at all you could just toggle the weather button to off
I like the bucking idea from Adriana Hawkstorm! Me and my friend were discussing that a couple days ago how it would be perfect for the mustangs (if they ever get added to the game). It'll be their own unique animation that when running they could sometimes buck (without affecting the speed). Though bucking randomly would cause some problems since you wouldn't be able to jump during a bucking animation so you'll be running into that fence or wall, not so good for races Maybe they could have their own button to buck? Like how you get the Icelandics to tölt.
EDIT: I thought about the storm in Jorvik thing and realized it would mess with the fps (frames per second) and would most definitely cause lag especially in heavily populated areas. So instead of having all areas (minus Dino Valley) have rain/storms, why not a specific area like a new area in the game? It could be named Thunder Canyon (or any other name haha) and that would be a great place to have rain/storms in that specific area like how Dino Valley is always snowing! Just imagine running in a canyon with a storm over head, you could run in the small creek at the bottom of the canyon or run along the edges higher up. It would be fun running through the canyon with players above or below you, it would be perfect for chasing! There's a canyon in Iceland which would be ideal for Star Stable's design of lots of grass so it's not the usual dry dirt orange canyon. Also the creek at the bottom should be shallow enough for riders and horses to walk/run through without the swimming warning. I know we have the beach at Fort Pinta, but a small creek that you can walk in with rocks and cliffs around you would look pretty amazing especially at sunset!
I'm just dreaming here
